AFRIGETICS BOTANICALS AND BULBINE NATALENSIS

In Ocotber 2010, Afrigetics Botanicals started making our premier freeze-dried Bulbine natalensis extract for US and EU sports nutrition companies.
Our extract is based on the research technique using the stem of mature Bulbine natalensis plants.
Our benchmark extract us a cold water soaked,  ultrasonic freeze-dried extract of Bulbine natalensis stem.
We continue to be a trusted source in South Africa for authentic Bulbine natalensis stem extract and dry milled powder.

VERIFICATION: In today’s ingredients supply trade there is one primary factor that makes a company succeed: integrity.
In 2010 there was no reference method in the world for verifying Bulbine natalensis, so to build on our integrity we decided to get a reference standard for our product from a third party lab. In Feb 2011 we had a horticulturist prepare a voucher specimen of Bulbine natalensis for Flora Labs in the USA and by June 2011 we could offer the world’s first lab verified Bulbine natalensis. We have since supplied Flora Labs with alternate Bulbine species for them to improve the depth of their  verication method. This extra effort to our quality control ensures that our customers get the very best that we can offer.

ABOUT BULBINE NATALENSIS:
Bulbine natalensis is an indigenous African botanical that is traditionally used in South African herbal medicine to improve potency in men (as an aphrodisiac). Recent research conducted at Fort Hare University suggests that it could help to boost testosterone levels and decrease oestrogen levels.
The research was originally conducted on rodents and an extract of Bulbine created substantial increases in testosterone.
Several products for human use have now been developed from extracts of Bulbine natalensis for use in sports supplements markets, based on the efficacy of the rodent studies, though no safety or efficacy data has been published. However, the fact that Bulbine natalensis has been safely used for thousands of years in Southern Africa means that it has been granted ‘traditional medicine’ status and is considered safe to use.
